Lebanon is an important radical country of the history over world. In the bible, it was call

ed the land of the milk and honey. The capital of Lebanon is Beirut and it has a nickname which is Paris of the East. Lebanon is mixture of many different religions but the two main religions are Muslim and Christian. In addition, it has three official languages Arabic, English and French. Therefore, it is mixture of different culture. It is surrounding by five countries which are Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Cyprus and Israel. This report will describe the modern history of Lebanon and Lebanon now.
The modern history began in 1943 when Lebanon gained the freedom from French. At this period, Christians and Muslims were fighting to hold the power of country. However, the Christians were more than Muslims so they detained the power of balance. Therefore, the tension increased between them. In 1948 and after Arab-Israel war about 100,000 Palestine and influx of Muslim refugee to Lebanon. The tensions reach the peak in 1975 when Christian group attacked

and killed a bus full of Palestine. Therefore, the violence began and the circumstances were dangerous and out of control. As a result of these tensions, the trust was a complete breakdown between the flowers of two religions. In 1982, Israel army attacked Beirut to eliminate the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). After that, a peace deal sign between Muslim and Christian in 1989 to stop continued unrest. The human and economic were cost many thing of the conflict such as 150,000-200,000 people were died, 300,000 were wounded and most of population left the country.
Lebanon now improves in many signs of social and economic such as constructions, tourisms are coming, Muslims and Christians are mixing and doing business together. However, some of current problems are still appear in the country for example unemployment, concentration of wealth and high cost.
